No need for apologies, new or old that is style, they look so classic too. You are a man of good taste Eric.
These shoes are also brand new, although you would be for given for thinking differently. They are hand made from a vintage design, seen in the Victoria & Albert Museum.

They were made by an elderly fellow in London, I moved out of London a few years ago now, I lost touch with him, I know that his shop has closed though.Love tarsal straps. Who made them?
Could the good folks here share their recommendations for leather shoe treatments that provide waterproofing? This is in general but a lot of my shoes/boots are brogue style so a lot of nooks, crannies and stitching to work around. Does anyone use any of the new fangled hydrophobic sprays on leather?
Rudel Western boots. Not familiar but don’t expect them to be a major, fancy company that chase after the overrated “tea core” fad, yet, the leather is genuinely tea core, no artificial paint over.

I picked up these beauties this morning and I think they are off the chain. From Bontoni, Oxford's in green and mustard.

You keep your boots in lovely condition, well done you. Boots are not my forte but I do have a pair for work-a-day wear and a spare pair that has never seen the light. They were a gift, can't be seen to be ungrateful but I really can't take to them. My regular boots are well past their sell by and although I wasn't specifically looking, I came across these in a sale and ordered them. Leather boots for £35, can't be bad.Red Wing and Timberland American Craft....not enough feet to wear them all !!!
Snagged another pair recently of the BIG John Lobb. I have only polished them for 4 hours with many hours to go over the next few weeks, but so far so good.
I am always chasing the perfect shine. I haven't reached it yet, but l think l will soon. I've ordered special high shine `boot black' products with special acidic polish water, and I am going to get special 180's cotton fabric from Alumo (finest cotton in the world) and l am going to freeze my special polish water and go for the finest shoo shine i've ever done. I've done 20 hour shines numerous times to try and get that perfection, but l still haven't made it to the top when it comes to brilliant world class shines, but lam going to give it my best shot and go all out with nothing but the best water, cloth and polish products and l am going to polish and polish and polish until those shoos shine like diamonds.
