Thanks for the nice comments on the shoos. l really love this pair because of the styling, shapeness, elegance and AMAZING snug fit that makes me feel great. Definitely need more of this type of fits.

l have the same pair Matt, a pair from 10 years ago in the same leather and they are great shoes! Good quality back then, maybe they still are. Congratulations.

Honest, A.C., I don't have any corrected grain. It looks like feathering in the photos, but it's not.

l have never ever seen any shell look like that online in the last 8 years of posting on forums. l know shell v's calf very very well, and if l were wrong on this l would be extremely surprised. l could be wrong, but my ability to pick shell from grain corrected calf has been flawless so far.

Shooman, you're record is still intact...it is not shell. It is that miracle shoe material from DuPont...Corfam. You and AC couldn't be fooled, but you'd be surprised how many people are. They only made this stuff for 7 years, and only about 5 of those went into men's shoes. When they were made, they sold for far more than the leather versions of the shoes. I may be the only person here who loves corfam, but the rarity of it is incredible (unless you talk golf shoes). Thanks for playing my game.

Wish I had seen this & had the chance to play. NOS, Corfam looks EXACTLY like shell cordo... and has found its way into my office on more than 1 occasion.

Great song. My wife treats some of the retired DuPont chemical engineers that helped the company spend 100 million on corfam. The cost of corfam shoes far exceeded the cost of leather shoes during the 5year span they actively produced men' s shoes

Corfam looks completely different from shell to my eye if the pair has been worn at least once because the wear marks are radically different from calf or corfam.. l wish you had the chance to play too, it would have been interesting to see what you opinion would have been.

That is very interesting.

Talking about unusual leathers, my shoemaker the other day was telling me about `unborn calf'. lf a pregnant mother dies they still use the leather of the unborn calf. lt is really soft like goat leather and strong.

You know, if you crunched the numbers Corfam may have exceeded the exotics in overall cost per skin.
