Thank you RodeoRose! Your find is so exciting, make sure to post pictures once it all arrives ( well, since I read your blog I won't miss it either way) :D I'm always too scared to buy lots, but bet that's how one finds the treasures.

Miss G, that dress is lovely and so you!

MissChloeCorville - thank you (although I can't see a photo!) and welcome to the Lounge!

Ok, I'm done for the next while after this - I saw this last night and instantly fell in love with it - I have such a weakness for polka dots:

WOW!! That is probably the best dress I've seen in a while!! But then again I also have a polka dot obsession!!

Thanks Drappa! Now to find a nice slip to go under it! I really hope it won't be a super fragile dress - hopefully I'll get loads of wear out of it. Think the red & navy platform sling-backs I got in M&S should go well with it.

Lorelai99 - Thank you - it's nice to meet a fellow polka dot lover! The second I see a Breton stripe or polka dot I'm all over it!

Hi I'm new! First post! Bought a couple of bits today. Can I post a pic of a dress I bought today from their website or should it really be of me wearing it?

Welcome Ruby Mae! Looking forward to seeing your new items (you don't have to post photos of you wearing the items - unless of course you want to!)!

Miss Sofia - thank you! You're definitely a woman after my own heart!

CherryLips - super cute parure - all I could think of when I saw the banana ring was Audrey in Sabrina singing "We have no bananas today!!!!!!"

Yes, all the time! America had a large Ready to Wear culture compared to Europe and Australasia, but the popularity of vintage sewing patterns shows there were many, many ladies out there making their own clothes all over back in the day. I'd say at least half of my (erm, quite large) collection of vintage clothes is home made.

Just wondering, since I don't do much vintage clothing shopping, do you ever come across actual vintage dresses or own a dress that might have been home sewn?

Wearing a homemade vintage skirt for a shopping day with Tatum today! Also, my very most favorite-est 40s summer dress (purchased on my last shopping trip with Tatum... is there a pattern here?) is also homemade. They're both very well made and durable :)

My eyes were popping out there for a second! Didn't know what to drool over first. Lovely finds. I love the sweater clips and the charm bracelets especially! I'm a sucker for a charm bracelet.

Cute hat deadpandiva! Great for summer, I'm looking at getting one for myself for this summer as well.

Indeed I bought a lot of stuff today, but only one of them is true vintage so I'll just post that. I got my first train case! 1955, still in great shape aside from some colour bleeding on the lining.

If you're interested in seeing what else I got, I did a blog post.

I bagged this in the Cath Kidston sale - I just love the neckline!

Also, not strictly a purchase (more a birthday present!) but I finally got hold of this Tara Starlet top and shorts...
