Also got this vintage nautical playsuit that I wore on saturday night and then the strap broke. That's the only trouble with vintage isn't it, the degredation of seams and stitching. :( It should mend up ok mind.

I have known some girls who will go through all seams on sewing machine to reinforce so they don't fall apart while on. I have never gone that far but have done some touch up repairs when needed. That suit is worth it. I would buy pink, red, black, purple whatever I could get my hands on.;)

Sweet! I love the purse Miss Golightly.

Ada Vice - your sailor play suit is adorable!

I just received several new vintage bags from my Mum and some vintage jewelery, will post soon. She sent me the best pair of vintage pop-its! The biggest in my collection (her and I are obsessed with Pop-it necklaces).

What a playsuit Ada Vice! I love them, but I just can't seem to ever find one that fits...

Miss_Becky PLEASE tell us how the cobbling goes!

my suitcase has step-siblings:

They don't match exactly, and I'm probably not going to take any but the round one to Paris, but I'm so glad I didn't waste all the money I was looking at to buy a modern set. Etsy came through big time.

New shoes. They're suede with patent leather. Though not vintage, they look great with three of my pencil skirts...including the one that caused my wardrobe meltdown yesterday. :)

Fab shoes, CherryWry - they look lovely and sleek. Wardrobe meltdowns - often solved (and created) by larger wardrobes!

Thanks for the luggage love! I'm super happy with them, but the slight difference in color is a little maddening... I'm trying not to be OCD about it. I've never had any that remotely matched. However, the lining in the Etsy pair (the train case and suitcase) isn't in as good condition as the round case. Think an upholsterer would be the right choice to ask about fixing it? (I live next door to one, I just don't want to be laughed out of the shop!)

I'm sure if they can't help you they could suggest someone who could. I think it sounds reasonable that they could be the ones to do that kind of work.

I *finally* won a McCall pattern catalog after wanting one for YEARS! I'm turning 30 in under a month, so I figure it's an early birthday present to myself :D :D :D I really didn't expect to win it, and then at the last minute my computer froze up, so I thought my bid didn't go through but it did! Yay!

haha! And your suitcases also have identical twins ... currently they are residing in my mother's closet, but destined to live in mine! Mom says, "You really want those old suitcases? I bought them before I was married (1965)!" Yes! YES! I do!

Just picked these up in the Croc store at the Mall of America. I know they're not really vintage at all but I needed something comfortable to wear to work and these worked out great! No one knew I was wearing Crocs except my feet!

There are a lot of styles on the Crocs website as well as many available on Amazon.com. Many of them look like normal shoes but are significantly more expensive. I think I'm going to pick up the Farrah shoe at some point. I saw some of the flats I have on Ebay but the seller location was in China or Hong Kong which makes me doubt their authenticity. The shoes I have say Made in Mexico. Anybody know how Ebay moniters this if at all? I know it can be very hard to peg knock offs online.

I went to my favourite vintage store today and got lots of beautiful things!

New dress, 40s, needs a belt as it's a little big.

Amazing skirt, in such great condition. I have no clue what to wear with it. Any ideas?
