My first successful wet set in more than five years. I used pillow rollers for the back and bobby pins for the waves in front. Forgive the fact that I look crazy in all the pictures.

Wow the waves are perfection! I think my hair texture is similar to yours, I've had some success with a similar set - except at the back of my head - I'll give pillow rollers a go!

If it is a help I set my hair in rollers the night before so that the hair rolls up on either side of my head. Then when I brush it out it is easier to um re-roll the hair and hold it while I pin it....not sure that makes much sense?

Oh and thank you!

Do you just use one roller on each side or is it a couple? I just love how tight the roll is. I think the big victory rolls are darling, but this is something I would do more as an everyday kind of thing here in my small town. Thank you for answering me :)

I part my hair on the side first then do three down the short side and four down the slightly longer side, in that shot I also had one roller going forward in the front for a small front roll aswell. Hope this helps a bit :)

deadpandiva - hmm, I always thought I needed big, fancy clips to do fingerwaves! You've given me confidence to give it a try with good ole bobby pins. :)

Very nice rolls, KittyAnneMalloo! Good height and no frizzies!

Your set look amazing! I have the wave clips, but they can be so tough to use, and forget sleeping in them. Your set turned out exactly like what I want my sets to look like. I'm definitely going to try this!

Hey ladies! It's my first post here but I love this place!
So for my hair, I did a victory roll up top and on the bottom did a side bun which took about a million bobbypins since I have long thick hair.

Ooh, everyone is looking good!

I'm finally getting the hang of my wave clips and can even sleep in them now, so had a good hair day today! Not sure what the scared look is in the second pic, I think that it's just the thought of going to work...
