Antje. I love your curls too. Could you please post a picture of how you place the flexible perm rods in your hair?! And how do you brush them to look so perfect?

M

When I have a pic I will post one.
I always wear the first day just the curls loose or with combs and then the second day I brush the curls out really tight.
So I give my hair firm brush strokes to make my hair look real flat at first and then push it a little back.

Excuse the massive looking clip in the front, it only appears when you look at it from the top lol

ooh! pretty

I took delivery of two 1940's hairdressing magazines today and have tried a do, but I just can't seem to get the hang of directing the pincurls upwards...we shall see what I look like in the morning, we may have an entry for the poodle frizz awards!

GoldwynnGirl The ginger look suits you.
I can't beleive all the amazing redheads here and all the cute victory rolls. I don't know why I cant bring myself to where my hair in rolls in public. I guess the look doesn't suit me but all of you ladies look fab.

This is my hair today.
The first pictures two are before I really set it (and before makeup, sorry!), I had only brushed it a little. I forgot to take a picture of my head before I brushed, I will do that the next time because I want you to see how awful it looks before it is brushed.

Anyway, the first two pictures are a little brushed, the last pictures are of it set, I put it up in a pony tail and tried to do faux bangs, but it turned out as something kinda different and right now it is Betty Grable bangs, so it is a very versatile set, but if you want very sharp-cut faux bangs, be more careful when you set the sides, if you have some short hairs anywhere, then make them go away from your bangs because your hair needs to be at least 4 or 5 inches to get nice faux bangs, imo.

Click on the images to see them larger...

My boyfriend set the pins like this:
- Top front section is set with 4x3 (4 vertical, 3 horizontal...) rows all standing and going forward.
- The sides were set in 3x3 rows, left side going counter-clockwise and right clockwise, so both go backwards.
- Back was set in the neck only, so the top was flat, since I was going to put it up in a pony anyway. So there were 4 rows horizontally and just divided in the middle so the left side goes counter-clockwise and right clockwise, just like the sides. Looks aprox. like this.

LOVING THIS!!!:eusa_clap

Well this is how my hair is almost every day in it's natural state. hehehe mostly because I'm currently an unemployed bum and at home most of the time!

Ummm the outfit I'm wearing is the reason I'm not cutting it, though I would dearly love to! I hadn't actually put any curling product in this time, though I usually use sunsilk curling creme. So that's my natural 'I jsut got outta bed' look :p

I've decided I need a snood! I put my hair in two victory rolls the other day, but didn't feel like curling the bottom and didn't feel like wearing it out with the heat! Unfortunately I couldn't find a hairnet either, or I would have used that! I jsut wish I knew what to do with so much hair!!

What a pretty smile, Wonder Woman!! ;)

MISS HANNAH~ Gorgeous!!!! and the hair color is to die for :eusa_clap

Haha! It's not a hat. it's just a scarf that I tied around my head to sleep in last night and never changed out of my PJs all day so I left it in all day.

Thank you gals!
alexandra, I love the little twirl you have in front, it's too cute.
I'd love to hear more about how you all made the hair, and also pics of the curls in process.
