Ideally, wouldn't it be great to show everyone two pictures?

One of you in the present day, the second of the college in the Golden Era. ;)

Let me start with this:

(1) Yours truly - Trinity College, Dublin 2008:

(2) A view of the Bell Tower of Trinity College, Dublin, taken 1948.

You might notice that I am standing where the lady in the middle of the 1948 photo is walking! PS - Trinity College is 416  years old!

PS - I am particularly interested in the history of Stanford - did any Fedora Lounge members go there?

While not nearly as antiquated as Trinity, Wabash has been around since 1832 (in one form or another), and is still all male (CO-ED NEVER!).

I'll see what I can dig up at the records, I'm sure there are many captivating photographs from WWII when part of the campus was converted to an officers' school.

I considered Trinity College back during my vagabond GI Bill days,
and have always regretted skipping Dublin. :(

(Mr 'H': your picture reminds me of University College alum Flann O'Brien ;) )

Hi Fletch - it's funny how these colleges turn into mini-cities, isn't it?

I was in UCD on Monday and you would almost get lost there it's so big. I was attending conference with US Ambassador Thomas C. Foley.
