Here are two more shirts I made from my altered 40s pattern. I made new front and facing pieces with a shawl collar look. The top one is from a new cotton. The bottom one is from that vintage stash I had. I adore the fabric, but feel like a heel for putting the buttons on the wrong side :eusa_doh: I paid attention throughout the entire construction, so I feel a bit upset about it.

Inky and Lauren, fabulous jeans!! :eusa_clap

I'm loving all of the plaid I'm seeing here.

I've been embellishing shoes, mostly Marie Antoinette or Victorian style~
these were already beaded:

I'm eager to start sewing some costumes soon! Everyone have their Halloween garb picked out?

LD, those blouses are fantastic! Don't worry about the buttons. No one else will notice. I'm sure we've all done it. I've even put in a fly zipper on the wrong side.

Ohairas, those shoes are fabulous!

When it comes to buttons and such I am sure most people these days don't even knows there is a difference, truth be told. Not to mention people like me wear so much guy's clothing nobody would notice anyway. You're shirts are just too cute anyway, Lady Day.

I made another purse using some scrap wool and some silk at the lining given to me by a friend :)
This one turned out pretty good, I lined the buckram with cotton batting to give it more stability. This one was also quicker than the last one I made, less hand stitching (still a lot) then before because of some of the techniques I used.

I like it a lot, even the two MOP buttons I layered to make it look cool.
