Just posting my pity party... I made a dress today and just barely had enough fabric to make it. It turned out really cute, unfortunately it also turned out to small!!! :( I hate when that happens!

You must have a thinner, shorter friend who would be happy to wear it.

Nothing too exciting - white cotton skirt from my no-frills 30s pattern! I didn't get a shot of the weave which is why I picked this particular fabric. It's rip-stop from JoAnns. I got red gum all over the back from someone sticking it under a seat. :(

I LOVE that, cici! So cute!!

I think I forgot to post pictures of the fashion show I did a few months ago! Here's two of the outfits I made. The wedding dress I draped and designed. Both are from rayon satin- the black is crepe back satin with sequined "cape" faced in organza and I used vintage Czech glass buttons and buckle.

SO gorgeous Lauren!! The back on that black one is stunning, and I can't believe you designed the wedding dress! Beautiful. :)

That wedding dress is a dream! I love the bust part and the simplicity of the fabric. The back of the black dress is stunning, too.

Hi all! I've been MIA for a long time, but starting lurking again recently. :)

Here's my most recent - a Hawaiian blouse for the Bayside Ball. The print's so busy, so you can't see many details except the poufy sleeve that's hanging at a crazy angle in the photo. It's not actually like that. Really! I'm most proud that it only took me 5 days to make - I'm a notoriously slow sewer, but my fabric arrived in the mail on Tuesday and the dance was on Saturday, so I pushed it. Thank goodness for tried and true patterns!

**Note +1's pocket square - he picked up my buttonhole practice scrap and decided to repurpose it!

Thanks Lauren! dakotanorth walked up to me at the dance and the first thing he said was "Denver Fabrics!" It's highly recognizable. :) Wish I could find more prints from that company.

Everyone has been making some amazing things!

In order to fill out the hole left from selling a lot of my earlier day dresses, and a pledge I have to make all of my repro patterns, Im making more dresses. These will be great for summer.

I have to say I am always in such a rush to get things done (lack of patience lol), but you ladies inspire me to slow down and pay more attention to details!

Super cute, LD! I especially love the contrast portions - it focuses the eye on the design of the dress (plus it's my favorite trick for when you don't have *quite* enough fabric ;) Very flattering!
