As to searching...up in the toolbar at the top of all Lounge pages is a 'search' that pulls down a search window so you can type in a search term.

this may be blasphemy, but i HATE the search option on the board. i find searching for stuff on this site on the google advanced search page to be much easier.

Its not blasphemy at all to use the Google advanced. But its better to use 'something' then not search...hence my quick and simple answer.

Pink, are you sure you're not too pure to be pink? LOL! Love it... what exactly is the print on the skirt? Now you just need a pointy bra! ;)
Good job RHRH!

How did I miss this?

Anyway, close up of the fabric:

Pattern review plea!

Hi Girls,

I'm narrowing down which dress to make for the QM event. Have any of you used the Vogue patterns below? If so, would you recommend them? I'm consulting other pattern review sites but I'm finding precious few reviews of these dresses. Many thanks!

It's 11:02 Arizona time. My fingers are beyond cramped up. It actually hurts to type.

I just finished my first dress. I haven't sewed a thing on a machine since I was 12. And I did it all by myself. :eusa_clap

Anyway, it's this one:

Bias tape is neither fun nor easy. Bias tape is NOT my friend. Anyway since I'm an anal retentive jerk I"m gonna redo the bias tape on the collar probably tomorrow. And then I'll post pics. :D

P.S. - It's pink (like what other color could it be).

You know Pink, they make this nifty little metal gadget called a bias tape maker. I LOVE bias tape, think its the best stuff since sliced bread, and if used in the correct width, and of a nice light fabric, its super great. Goooooood luck

Sounds like we have a lot in common Kitty S!

Okay so here's the dress. I braved the scorching AZ heat today to mug it up and show you to what occasion I wore this dress.

Pink it looks great!!! Yeah for you! I also have that pattern and it will probably be my first "getting back into sewing" project. I dread the bias tape as well.
You look adorable, love those shades!! Are those the ones you bought and had them made into sunglasses?
