Wowee!!

You girls have made some fabulous stuff!!! Too much to name individually, so just highlights:
Lorena B- That dress is just to die for! Totally fab!
MissAmelina- I love that collar on the brown one. Is Butterick 7373 vintage, modern or reprint??
kamikat- I love that chili print. Too cute!

It's vintage....haven't seen it around in awhile, but well worth it if you can find a copy.

Mentha, if you have already a pencil skirt you can trace it and make your own pattern as i did, you have to be careful to leave extra seams space thou.:eek:fftopic: hey, will i see you this weekend in the Cruise inn, Amsterdam for D-Day???

Unfortunately I don't have a pencilskirt yet... The ones I've seen that I like are usually far beyind my budget. Besides that, I can be pretty sure they're not long enough for me, for I seem to have longer-than-average upper legs ;)
Guess I'll just have to try out my self made pattern and see what happens :)

I'm not planning on going to Amsterdam this weekend, first weekend in a while that I'm without plans, so I'm going to enjoy that and see if I can finally get crackin' on my new dress :)

Awesome shirt pattern, Lauren! Love the placket and the pleat back - sooo sporty!

Shame you haven't enough fabric left to make the skirt but sure you'll find something to go with it.

P.S: Have you got a shot of the pattern cover?

Again, I love everything. Lauren's 30s shorts set takes my breath away! MissAmeliana's dresses are always top notch, and I'm really digging kamikat's use of wilder fabrics ;)

Thanks, gals!
Here's the pattern cover, Miss Sis. Don't you love how one's wearing ballet shoes and the other's wearing beachwear? I pictured it as something you'd wear in a dance rehearsal, a la Busby Berkeley.

The infamous overalls! Seems lots of gals are whipping these up, which is awesome.

I made a pair awhile back and never got around to posting.....I found the construction challenging. :)

That's Oskar Booger in the corner. He's my special boy.

I just finished the shirt and shorts from a 1933 pattern. It's been on my "to-sew" list for years! I just need to make the wrap skirt and I'll have the whole set, but unfortunately I didn't buy enough of the fabric when I bought it years ago! I guess white linen it is...

GG, this dress is SMOKIN' hot on you! Love the fabric/color you chose!
Do you have MM's red Niagra dress? Could easily be adapted I think? I've wanted that one forever.
Did you change the pattern at all? Because it looks a-heckuva lot better on you than it does on the cover, I would've never picked it up!

Lorena, I thought of the Niagra dress looking at yours too. What a phenomenal job you did putting that together!

LD, love the dark blouse with the tiny floral motif!

I made this for a garden party fundraiser. Wishing I had gotten this picture with a better background, but at least I got a shot of the whole outfit. The fabric isn't 20's era, but the theme was the art of Edward Gorey who drew the 20's during the 60's so we had a bit of fun with it.

The very top above the bust is HUGE, though. I also wish my buttons were whiter, but I found them in the drawers of my grandmother's 1938 Kenmore in what looked to be a 1950s cookie tin. So possible vintage buttons!!

Amy Jeanne, that a really nice dress, and the color is so great for now, the summer.
You could make a little bolero maybe in white to go with the belt!!!
I love the story behind the bottoms, you will be wearing a bit of your nan with you

This is my last project.
I cant stop thinking in Carmen Miranda each time i look at it lol
As i got some fabric left i might go for the shorts but, i think, i am sorted with Hawaiian or tropical styles for a whilelol

LorenaB = I never thought of it that way -- that my vintage buttons will be like carrying a part of my grandmother. I never met her -- she died before I was born. Also, I love Hawaiian dresses and my next dress is actually going to be in the Hawaiian style! Just waiting on the fabric!
