Don't remember if it's in that video or not, but you probably know that Charles Goodnight is credited with inventing the chuckwagon. I just didn't know that he had been a ranger & was on the party that rescued Cynthia Parker. I've always been fascinated with her story & her son Quannah Parker.Nice little documentary. As a fan of the Lonesome Dove mini-series, it's nice to see the real background stories and make comparisons.
I was particularly taken with the line, 'splendid behavior' on the tombstone, as I very vividly remember TLJones uttering it at Deets' burial in the movie.
