not easy, but with 4 buttons and patch pockets (and that colour fabric) it's a more unusual one.

i can't unfortunately ... it's one of the only jackets i've ever owned which i couldn't tell if it were genuine vintage or repro. the elasticated back made me suspicious. but if it was repro, it was good repro.

now sold.

Belts that are only sewn to the side seam of the jacket are a feature I have almost exclusively found on old German jackets so far.

yes, but back on track... if you've seen German belt-backs attached at sides only, have you seen any with elasticated cinched - waists ?

i ask because, if you have, then it might be German. if not, then we might never know.

No elasticated waists. It's only that particular detail about the belts I was referring to.
