Shave of the Day

My first day with the new GEM was far from my best shave, but I didn't expect it to be. I was more concerned with avoiding cuts and razor burn than with a BBS (baby-bottom smooth) shave, and was succeeding until I got a bit too bold and went for an XTG pass (across the grain). I just need a few more shaves to get the feel of the blade angle. It's a nice little razor, and I'm optimistic that it'll soon be right at home next to my Superspeed.

Just a quick 2 pass shave today (1 WTG and 1 XTG). Made my initial lather with Williams only. Bubbly, foamy, and terrible. Added a bit of the AOS cream and I was back in business.

Nice Menthol Monday, although I pushed the blade life a bit. I keep forgetting to hand strop.

I have been noticing that my lathers haven't been all that great, so last night I gave the Vulfix a dishsoap treatment. This morning was the best lather ever!

This homemade Guinness soap lathered fantastically! Great scent and very moisturizing. The razor is super light and just the right amount of aggression. An awesome shaver.

First shave with the Super Adjustable that my sister picked up for me last week. What an amazing shave! This thing makes it incredibly easy to find the perfect angle. No tugging and no irritation, even ATG. This will definitely be the razor I use when I'm in a hurry.
