Samurai jeans belt - how thick would be too thick?

Kreis Belt. 8mm, and gently skivved at the buckle.

Wouldn’t necessarily wear with a fashion jeans, as thin, drapey cloth just hangs off it like a curtain.
Anything above 11oz or so is perfectly fine. Not uncomfortable too.

Now that’s what I’d call a proper belt!!

Is there an online shop you bought it from, or custom made?

Wore my new beast of belt today - after stuffing it with tallow/beeswax special feed for 3 days - nice and supple and shiny now

Thank you. It’s a shame they don’t accept UK customers - Brexit!!

Oh, ok, I wasn’t aware.

I have to say, their customer support isn’t worth their price tag. I ordered online three times, and only one was hassle-free. I much prefer their physical location in Frankfurt. A very nice, well curated place and nice folks.

Anyway, if you find anything you fancy, I can always proxy for you.

Thank you @Tom71 for the kind offer I appreciate that! I've got a 6mm belt to be delivered next week or so that is made from 'stirrup butt' - supposedly the heaviest duty stuff made in UK tannery that is 'hot stuffed' and saturated with fats. I'll see if then I have enough belts to play with :)

If you ever want to move on your Kreis belt - give me a shout before you list on Classifieds here!

@Cyber Lip - next time you come across an uber thick belt please bear me in mind :). It's hard to describe why exactly I like thick heavy belts - bit like some of us like thick heavy leather jackets - it's the feeling of having something heavy that wraps around! I have had so many belts in 3-4mm range and they never last longer than 2 years of regular use - cracked or stretched out of shape.
