Sorrowful Jones (1949) with Lucille Ball and Bob Hope. A remake of a 1934 Shirley Temple film, Little Miss Marker.

Margie (1946) with Jeanne Crain, Alan Young and Conrad Janis. Very sweet movie, but you need to ignore the 40s version of the 20s clothing and hair.

Cocoanut Grove (1938) with Fred MacMurray, Harriet Hilliard and Eve Arden. A pretty cute movie that's a little slow going at first.

The Ex-Mrs. Bradford (1936) with William Powell and Jean Arthur. Think The Thin Man, but with Jean instead of Myrna.

The Gay Deception (1935) with Francis Lederer and Frances Dee. A really cute movie

Gold Diggers Of 1933 with Joan Blondell, Ginger Rogers, Dick Powell, Aline MacMahon and Ruby Keeler. I love this movie so much I'm going to watch it again after I watch the Gold Diggers of 1935 and I'll let you know how that one is

Except for "lullaby of broadway" at the end of 35 it's not a patch on 33. Have you seen "Dames"? That's better than 35 IMO.

Twentieth Century (1934) with John Barrymore and Carole Lombard. A true screwball comedy.

Affair in Trinidad (1952) with Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford. It's not Gilda, but it's still worth watching.

The Razor's Edge (1946) with Tyrone Power, Gene Tierney and John Payne. Another movie where Gene Tierney is not a very nice girl. Kind of an odd movie too, but still good.
