Im running a little project where I'm working to return the spade sole to modern light. Will try to post the progress here. Our idea is to focus on the high end craftmanship, that means handwelt, new modern styles and old styles from the past. Enyoj

Very nice. I've always wondered why this style hasn't had a bit of a fashion revival at some point... I know it involves a bit of retooling and such, when it's cheaper and easier just to make design / colour changes to the uppers, but still...

Boots in the last shot are very nice indeed.

Yes, I was quite opsessed with finding J&M 100s, fantastic shoes, but they are rare finds on Ebay and sizes are impossible to match. and the manufacturing teqnique is differant and takes about double the normal time for a handwelted pair. It took a while but we are now able to supply handwelted @ 649 USD and are looking into a blake options as a cheaper alterantive.

Funny thing is, the last is quite inspired by the J&M 100s, its a bit differant but fantastic for wider feet.

Happy you liked the setup. brands name is Ace of Spades by the way. we have a website.

Are we talking a second mortgage on the price?
haha no no, handwelted start at 649 USD with spades, and 549 USD with conventional bevelled blind stiched handwelted. Blake(no spade) is 349 USD. Additional 100 usd if you want a wider last. You can customize any leather combination you want with any existing style.

Now yes it is alot of money, but compared to what you have to pay for a handwelted today its a bargin. Quality wise, images speaks for itself. but we put emphasis on quality. we hand last all of our shoes, even our handgrade blake construction.

One of the more unique designs made so far, the counter and facing made from one single leather, giving a very smooth transition. This with its own perforation.

This is the classical brogue and it goes very well with the spade sole I must say.

This was a pair made without spade sole, handwelted aswell. Came our real well, tapered heel and a nice contrast upper.

Very lucky indeed, A very nice catch I must say. value is usualy in condition, as these are pristine kudos, and the size. Odd sizes not as popular as the popular sizes. Spades on ebay disappear quite fast. If you want to sell vintage spades I would put them up for sale on Ebay or similar.

Must ask, where did you stumble on these, I remember back in the day, I searched like crazy just to find a pair.

Hello, a new bespoke fitting for a gentleman, very wide front feet. With leather combination inspiration from route 66. These were made with a fiddleback waist and with a rubber spade sole. enjoy.

Very nice. These are a lovely combination of the subtlety of black brogues with the flamboyance of the spade. A shoe both practical and distinctive.
Thank you, Not all spades should be flamboyant, they exist in formal style.
