When I got this there was not much left of a bag - just the metal frame and a few fragments of leather. I decided then to try to restore the bag as I couldn't do any harm. So I laquered the metal, bought some leather, sewed the parts together with my wife's sewing machine (to her horror, but I didn't have a leather sewing machine at that time), sewed the lining and them tried to fix that into the metal frame by brass nails which I intended to rivet - this turned out to be the most difficult part as I didn't have the tools. So I had to simply bend some of the nails, the specialists may forgive me. Anyway, it did the job and I have used the bag every now then - should do so more often I guess.
