After trying on the jackets, your post now makes sense to me.

The sizing has changed; the new 44 fits identically to my 42.

I have zero reason to doubt that but one observation: the „fit guide“ on Schott´s Webpage still suggests the exact size 44 that I bought a little more than a year ago. And I surely wouldn’t want to squeeze into one down…

Well I just got back from
Schott nyc I can confirm
The size 44 in the 613s and sh was the right fit for me. I was ready to pay for the 613s when I noticed the info for next weeks Bikeriders event at the store.
Joe at Schott brought out the Jacket Tom Hardy is using in the film ( Joe said there are a 100 total shared between the Schott locations) and wow love it. It’s the 568 blk a streer hide that is similar to the 519 but a bit thicker kind of in between the 613 steer and the 519 you can buy an optional belt and a collar which they will have next week. After begging to purchase ahead of the event
I went with a large 25 length for the back and 26 in front about 19 inch shoulder and a 23 1/4 chest 26 in the sleeve
Still have to work off another 10lbs or so but still love the fit it’s a nice supple feel like the 519 but a bit more substantial
Excuse the terrible pics just rushing out

I bought mine two years before you did and we’d already noticed some changes on yours (the mitered buckle); I assume that’s the line of demarcation.

Wow, this is stunning. And you say it fits like the current 42 in 613H? Did you see what the collar and belt are like?

How much does this run?

don’t live near the stores but I can call the store I went to to ask if they could post it to me. This is my favorite D-pocket layout.
Yes, this could well be!

Makes sense why they’d do it, because it allows staff to know which model at a glance.

It fit like a 613sh in a 44
The belt I saw a model of very old school looking but the collar will be in on Tuesday so I’m going back to get both
Don’t know color of the collar but guess black

Honestly I had no interest in this movie despite the stacked cast but seeing that they reproed 1950s D-pocket Perfectos with Conmars for it might have changed my mind, sorry @Monitor.

I believe it’s the in-store-only light/midweight horsehide 613 with blackened hardware. Really cool jacket.
YES IT IS !
I saw it today at Schott's once-a-year Factory Sale (three years after you started this thread @Aloysius) The family and long-time staff like Jerri were once again amazingly pleasant, gracious and accommodating - especially considering the high volume of people who turned out.
You will not find the 613MOS jacket on their website currently. The 613MOS is SO cool and great fitting that I went back for a second look and (almost) talked myself into buying it today in a 42 (...my true jacket size, on my 5'11" athletic frame if that helps you gauge how accurately this jacket fits...)

REASONS WHY I (almost) BOUGHT:
* It IS indeed Horsehide, but is much more pliable and accommodating than my 618HH.
* This jacket seems to be either a different cut or grade of Horsehide, or it was tanned differently than the current 613SH or the even more rigid 618HH, with less of a "sheen" than my 618HH.
* Even though I've personally never been a fan of the "One Star" Epaulette, having all the hardware blacked out on this jacket almost sold a "non-believer" like me.
* As mentioned above, the 613MOS is true-to-fit, with no need to "size up" or "size down."
* This jacket is the TRUE Classic Pattern, no "footballs," straight cut across the back with no kidney panel drop.
* It drops in the front, the way bike jackets were supposed to "back in the day."
* This jacket DOES have a different lining than the quilted, insulated liner in the current 613SH or the 618HH, with more of a "satin" finish, and easier to slip into.

REASONS WHY I DIDN'T BUY:
* The 613MOS has NO inner pockets (...not even the legacy Mesh Map Pocket...), which is a "must" for me personally in my bike jackets.
* With no quilted liner, I questioned just how insulated it was, and if it was suitable for anything below 40 degrees.
* Functionally - I questioned where it would "fit in" in my wardrobe, since I already have jackets that are good for cold weather below 30 degrees, and lighter weight jackets that are suited for the other three seasons.
* Over the past 40 years of so, I've acquired 5 leather jackets in my downstairs closet, and 5 in my upstairs closet, of varying grades, weights, colors, etc. (...and yes, I'm going to be selling a few shortly...). But with all that leather already, I had a tough time justifying something that was so close to my 618HH, that is still my "passion project" on the journey to to break it in

FRESH PIX from TODAY
See attached!

YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY
* There's a lot to love about the 613MOS (...especially the fit, and the price if you can find it on sale...)
* I personally am still hunting "The Holy Grail" of all jackets - The Durable (with no stars), but in the meantime will continue work on my 618HH
@Aloysius great love is his 613SH - and I can see why !
* My current fave jacket, that I'll grab more times than not, is still one that I picked up for $105 at a Black Friday Sale in 2021 !

Anyone ever shorten the sleeves on a 613? I’m thinking the zipper would have the be probably removed and moved up. I Would love my 613s to lose an inch on the sleeves.
Or will it over time shorten a bit with wear ?
Thanks to all

It’s a pretty simple alteration but it will ride up a bit first so you might want to see how that goes before you get them shortened.

The steerhide on the 613s won’t shorten that much over time, definitely not an inch. I sent my 618 to Schott and had them shorten the sleeves. They did have to move up the zipper. It was $75 + $15 shipping in 2021, not sure how much it’d be today. They also did repairs on one of my vintage 618s.
