I sympathize with this. Good style is its own reward, seperate from the pleasures of nonconformity. And, as fashion moves on, lots of good reproduction garments should soon be available inexpensively.

Agreed on the appreciation of good style regardless of what the guy next to you is wearing.
Nonconformity for the sake of nonconformity is in itself a form of conformity. ;)

If the price of workwear drops due to high demand we can clothing without having to worry about getting car grease on a $200. "workshirt".

Haha, that was my first though too!

The gray sweater looks o.k, I'd like to see it in person.
Considering the cheap material they are using the price needs to come way down.

Thanks to mattfink and Rivet Head for keeping me up on The San Fernando Valley Mercantile Co. I just picked up one of the duck caps with indigo thread. I've been waiting for a restock on these for a long time and it's nice to hear that they've even been improved.

I like their hats a lot. I would though rather have a fitted one than an adjustable. and does wash and crush proof mean it's just the standard plastic filler like in ball caps?

Ha! I saw them in person originally and they aren't bad! Plus, I just noticed today that they are on sale in the stores already.

My wife visited Target to pick up household essentials and thought she'd surprise me with a pair of Selvage denim and a couple of the chinstrap workwear shirts.

The denim is surprisingly a good value for what you get. They are striaght leg, but slim fitting. The red chainstitch is a nice change. The shirts are a great value with a super nice slim fit.

I have picked up the shirts now they have the jeans. Now waiting on the jean jackets.:) My question is does the average Target shopper even know what Selvage jean's are? :) The One Star line is looking like something to keep your eye on this year.

I think the average Target shopper doesn't give a damn....I have the blue chinstrap chambray shirts and they are surprisingly accurate and good quality. I'll have to check out the jeans.
