I'm hoping mine shows up today as well- tracking's looking promising. In this day and age of next-day-amazon-shipping, it's surprising when things take almost a month to be delivered.

If you have a J Crew card the card only coupon codes work online on Wallace & Barnes. I know that in the store when they are running a promotion it's an exclusion.

Got the Vente Privee order....chinstrap Sunset shirt in kelp was great, no so much on the canvas bag. It's sort of rubbery feeling and it's getting sent back! No word on the t-shirt that I ordered yet.

I picked up this black wool CPO shirt from Klaxon Howl recently. Its made from amazing black wool from Woolrich Woolen Mills.

noir-basic-workwear-jacket-paris-fw2010-0.jpg

Just stumbled upon this picture and thought it was cool. Not much info except it is from a parisian label called "Noir Basic" which doesn't have a proper homepage. So...[huh]

So after reading on other boards about people finding RRL stuff at discount stores such as Marshall's and TJMAXX, I've been very carefully checking the racks whenever I'm there.
Well, the other day I spied this hang tag sticking out of a rack:

I almost had a heart attack. Then I discovered that the tag was tied to pair of run of the mill RL Polo jeans. I don't know how this happened, but I was pretty disappointed :eusa_doh:

Takashi Tateno, the man behind Japanese workwear brand (e) Workers, KT&H shirts etc is the subject of an article in the latest Inventory magazine:

the article is by blogger 'Your Old Pal Jim':

aka Jim Christensen who also makes ties from deadstock fabrics:

I got one of these Wallace & Barnes Naval Workshirts on sale at J.Crew. It showed up in the mail today. It fits perfectly and I really like the the anchor buttons. Im excited to break this thing in like a pair of jeans. It looks darker in person than this photo shows.

L.L. Bean Signature Outerwear on sale

Just a heads up, most of the L.L. Bean Signature Outerwear is on sale today for pretty significant discounts. I purchased the Blanket Lined Corduroy Coat in Root Beer last week and it arrived yesterday. It is AWESOME! L.L. Bean was cool enough to give me the difference of today's sale price when I called. Now that is great service. :eusa_clap
