for me, it's looking at the price tags :D i definitely think the shoes are well worth it... but i've still gotta eat and pay my rent!

I know it Rebecca!! It is the worst to try and CHOOSE. lol

Shoo Shoo, that's what works for me! But gosh it is stressful! I seriously go in there with my mind made up about what I'm getting, I try on about 10 pairs of shoes, and then walk out with something else. 2 if I'm lucky! My birthday is coming up and I'm already doing the same thing trying to figure out what this years birthday Remix's are going to be! lol lol It's ridiculous! But they are so worth it!

Snookie, cute shoes! I look forward to seeing them in person. :)

I just went to the Remix site to check out all the new styles. I am thinking about getting the Dara sandals in red for summer.

The Boulevards are on sale but I can't tell if it;s all colors or just the brown?

Both colors are on sale and I would highly recommend that style - they are so comfy. I have mine in green and am super in love with them. I always get compliments when I wear them, which is a nice little boost when I'm having a crummy day.

I'm going to be stocking Remix shoes in my online shop, which is based in the UK (seems impossible to find any other online shops selling them!).

just wondering what styles to get, though. As my shop sells mainly 50s style stuff as well as a bit of 40s, I think the Babydoll pumps would be the way to go, and also there has been some interest in me stocking those ones particularly. But they do half sizes as well and we don't have half sizes in adult shoes in the UK, so I'm really confused as to what to get!

If you have a pair of the Babydolls, could you let me know what you think of 'em?

Oh gawd... I like the Ritas and Veronicas too! And wedgies... I love the Gloria, Village and Briarcliff! Maybe I should get a heel and a wedgie... hmmm.........

Not many shops offer half sizes but they do exist! M&S and Clarks spring to mind. I really wish that all places would offer half sizes though as I am a 5 1/2 in heels (but a 6 in flats - odd, I know).

The babydoll heels are cute and I think they would be good for work. I'd buy a pair! ;)

I have to say I was seriously disappointed when I went to the shop when I was in LA.

I wanted the Boulevard in Green, size 9. They had one pair left. I thought that was a good sign!

However, when I tried them on, one of the peep toes was off centre (nothing to do with my feet!) I wasn't happy to spend that much on shoes when there was something wrong with them! The girl in the shop said, oh well, they have been worn so you could get 10% off. This was the first mention of that so I turned them over and they have been worn outside by the look of the soles! This still doesn't solve the problem in the making of them so I turned them down.

I just thought the lady in the shop wasn't very helpful when I was ready to part $188 plus on a pair of shoes, so now I don't think I'll be buying any shoes from them, especially without seeing and trying them on first!

I'm not in Cali, so I've always called-in my orders and I have to say that I got the woman a few times and she was the worst. She kept saying she was busy and would call me back. She never did so I ended up calling her back three times, never being able to place my order. I mean...I want to give them money! The other times I've called (for a purchase and an exchange) I got two different men and they were really friendly and helpful. Maybe that one woman is just not good with customer service? I would give them a second chance because the shoes are quite comfy and look great.

I have a pair of the black babydolls, now several years old, and they've held up reasonably well. The leather has kind of pulled away from the sole in the arch area a bit -- I am very hard on shoes -- but I've managed to reglue it, and otherwise they're still in one piece.

The thing with these shoes is that they tend to be very stiff when you first get them. But once broken in, they're quite comfortable, especially given the height of the heel. Also be aware the soles tend to be *very* slippery -- especially if you walk on a lot of carpet. I took a rather serious spill down a flight of stairs at work when I first got mine, ruining a new pair of stockings in the bargain -- so at the first opportunity I roughed up the sole with a piece of sandpaper. That helped some, but they're still on the slippery side.

I quite fancy a pair of the brown babydoll pumps, does anyone have any views on them?

I tried to get the brown babydolls last year, when they were on sale. I'd heard from this thread that they ran a little on the small side, so I decided to get a 9.5. I wear a perfect size 9 in virtually everything, but there are a handful of exceptions. Turns out they were out of 9.5, I took a chance on the 9's, and they were indeed a half size too small. So I don't have a pair, but I wish I did! They look really nice on, too. Just order a half-size larger and you should be fine.

I would love to order some Re-mix shoes (have my eye on thier "Babydoll" pumps and a couple of thier 1920s/30s styles) but I'm a bit frightened to order as I'm a bit far away to return them in time if they are wrong.

I'm not very familiar with US sizing and after doing a google search I'm even more confused as the various conversion charts all give different sizes varying between 5 and 6 1/2. I notice thier wedgies chart gives a size 8 (seems a little large) for a 9 1/4 inch length and 3 inch width... but they don't seem to have a measurement chart for thier 20s/30s and 40s pumps [huh]

I usually take a UK size 4 and my Rocket Originals "Betty" shoes fit perfectly - as if they were made to measure :D I've measured them and they come out as 9 1/4 length and 3 inch width.

Are there are any ladies out there who wear this size and can help with Re-mix sizes?

My Rocket Originals "Betty" were too big and I'm a UK4. I bought a pair of BabyDolls the other week and they're too big, they measure 9.5" Length, so you might be best to go for a US6 - But you could always get an exchange if they don't fit :)

Would any of you gals who have remix shoes in size 9 or 9.5 be willing to measure them for me?

I'm not sure if I should order the boulevard model in 9 or 9.5 because I sometimes use 9 and sometimes 9.5...

And btw, I can't decide if I should order the green or black ones. Green ones look soooo gorgeous but maybe I'd use the black ones more... But the green ones are so much fun!
