Relating to . . . Nothing in Particular.

Sometimes, I just sit back and think about things I've seen in the past. Maybe they shaped my life, somehow, maybe they didn't, and maybe they're just something to make me chuckle. At any rate, they're those little things that stick in your mind.

I was thinking of one just a moment ago, and I just decided to tell about it. It relates to nothing in the Fedora Lounge, other than getting to know each other, but here goes:

I remember one day, years ago when I worked in a car wash, seeing an Isetta "Bubble Car."

One of these:

It was the license plate that got me: WELAFF2.​

I still laugh about it.

What sort of little things - insignificant, off-the-wall things that relate to nothing in particular - stick in your mind and come back just in time to give a small chuckle some meaning?

Charlie I have that Big Bird Thanksgiving in my files as well and it cracks me up every time I see it.. good one!!

I guess one of mine would be my husband telling me we had a coon in the house.. and he went on and on about how HUGE it was, and it was standing up hissing and growling at him. Well, give me a sec while I dig up a picture of this "beast".

I totally believe that Hulk Hogan should stop wrestling and start doing a Mr. Rogers-style kids' show. The man is a) genuinely sweet-seeming in interviews and b) a giant walking cartoon. I think he should go on tours of zoos and factories and whatnot.
