Hey everyone,
I just had the sleeves shortened on my McCoy's N1. I posted a link to a video in which the tailor explains how they performed the alteration. Essentially, they opened up the seam on the alpaca inner lining, shortened it and then re-attached the storm cuff, sewed it back up, and then hemmed the outer jacket sleeve. Hopefully this video will be informative for those thinking of shortening their jacket sleeves.
Besides some leftover chalk marks (I hope that's what I'm seeing), I think they did a good job. The shorter sleeves will take some getting used to, but it is now better proportioned on me.
Thoughts?
