Putting another bash in a hat

Guys, I put a new bash into my Akubra Slouch hat, but now Im thinking I want a traditional military style bash back in. So my question is, how many times can you bash and re-bash on open crown hat? Thanks.

Quite a few actually felt hats are resilient, just add steam or distilled water to the crown and rework the bash and viola. But they do get worn down by this and would need a reblocking after a while though.

What kind of slouch do you have? I would love to see some pictures.

Depends on how tightly you make the creases.
The felt weakens in the folds of tight creases & will need to be re-blocked to go back to open crown.
