I look forward to those being released. I've seen Night Nurse and enjoyed it. I remember Gable being a pretty tough (and sexual) character. I think I've seen Female also but it was so long ago it would probably be like watching it anew.;)

This is great news. I love Three On a Match and have been dying to see Night Nurse.

Pre-Code is my favorite era in film. Back when I used to get those close-typed auction-geek mailing lists of 78s and videos and such, the phrase was a virtual exclamation, like "HOT!" or "A CLASSIC!"..."Pre CODE!!!"

Yeah! But this was different. This was the expression of people whose enthusiasm was all the more intense because they were pigeonholing collectors with little or no imagination or style. Their language was simple and totally unironic - almost refreshingly so.

It is lame how ironic everything seems to be today. The point of being ironic is missed if everything is advertised as such! I think sincerity is the new irony. ;)
