Follow up fit photos of the custom black canetto cowhide. I've been wearing the jacket everyday since last Friday, it got rained on a little and it's not meant for inclement weather as it got wet very quickly but it did make the jacket form faster around my body. Definitely a welcome change against my other leather jackets. The wavy zipper action is in full swing maybe made worse by the fact the front drop is quite a lot on this pattern. Still feel the waist could have been made 2" smaller overall but overall still great for a first order with a new maker to me considering it's only the wider waist and 1.75" front drop are my concerns about this custom.

Here's with the detachable mouton collar. This is the softest fur collar I've worn. Gotta say it looks better with this collar on.

Now this one I got problems with. It looks to me as if someone really butchered a zipper replacement with a cheap copy C&C, or else did a horrible repair. Wavy, and not even close to original stitch holes, and it looks like they were SWI, sewing while intoxicated. Not an expensive jacket but I like the light weight leather and fit, so I will probably put a little heavier YKK in it eventually. More stitch marks?

Jacket looks great Jin, i see no issues regarding the waist and front drop, spot on fit in my opinion. Really like those french seams and that collar colour is awsome. I'm having second thoughts now on my collar choice, seeing yours . Did you specify this colour to Theodoros?

thanks nick, French seams are cool for sure. I'm just nitpicking lol the front drop is a matter of preference, I like mine at 1" so there's better proportion the how the jacket wears/look in contrast to the sleeve length. the puffy waist meanwhile is hard to see on photos but its when you wear it and see on your own POV that it will become more apparent but yep it's a great fit overall so I'm more than pleased with my first Thedi. Yes I did specify this color fur, I think it looks the best in thedis current offering plus it seems to pair well with the black Canetto very nicely. What color is standard with your order?

Right? I didn't even have to work for it lol no bruising/redness to the inner arm involved like when breaking in midweight to heavy HH jackets.

Thanks Jin, and of course your jacket is really something special. And yes...of course...I feel like I made the right decision going with Thedi as well.
thanks bud. Thedi has that magic like some members have said before.

Hi Jin :)

Thanks for the excellent fit pics (as usual)… The jacket indeed fits you like a glove and looks great!

To be honest, I’ve always had an issue with the wavy zippers seen on Thedi jackets. The one on your jacket does not seem as extreme. However, a lot of the jackets displayed on Thedi’s website seem to have an excessive amount which unfortunately would be a deal breaker for me. Personally, they really distract from the clean lines I like having on my jackets.

Potential reasons I think that cause this are probably the washing/aging effect Thedi puts on these jackets and using a large zipper which is less forgiving/pliable (?) This could potentially be avoided if the leather is washed/aged prior to stitching the panels together (?). Another possible cause could be the temper of the leather used. Interestingly, the HH jacket displayed on his website does not show this effect…

So, if I do ever go in for a Thedi, it would need to be one of his heavier HH and without the washing/aging process...

I posted updated photos of the jacket where the wavy zip is on full display. It's really an eye catcher especially when unzipped but it is what it is. It's just the trade off that happens when they do the hand washing that they do and I did request for it so that's it lol

grab the bruciato HH like Marc has shared lol I think it's the best leather alongside the Buffalo. I think Marc's jacket has the best leather I've seen come out of that shop yet.

The brown collar i ordered was a dark brown similar to the one on his website, trying to match some brown boots i wear.

Carrie posted pics on the Thurston thread of my jacket that just arrived today. Below are a couple quick snapshots. Espresso buffalo is just outstanding, exactly what I wanted colorwise and the grain too. The smell is heavenly. Tweaked some of the measurements to make the chest and shoulders wider than the Medium fit jacket and shortened the arms also. Came in spot on and is still labeled a M by Thedi. Strange that they put a size tag on custom sized items.

Congrats man looks great!

I have this same model and REALLY like it, though I bought it second hand.

A custom jacket I got from JL had a random size 36 on the tag...my current Thedi has an XXL on it...who knows

Just got my Aegean in from Carrie on Wednesday. Wasn’t supposed to come in until the Spring but a mix up and mine was done early. Added width to shoulders, shortened arms and length. Measure, ents we’re spot on. Changed the cuff buttons to snaps, add a second inside pocket and had them switch the zipper to the right side. Antique nickel Riri zipper and contrast stitching. Leather is heavy and stiff but already after two days is breaking in very quickly. The dark Buffalo is an amazing texture and as scurvyfreedman write the smell is crazy!

Hi guys, I just received my first Thedi and couldn't be more excited! It's in tambonato brown deerskin, and absolutely exceeded all my expectations. Second one (a mackinaw) is due to arrive soon. Couldn't get the pics to be loaded directly so I've put some imgur links.
