This arrived with the post today. A late 1950s, bright gray Lucien De Brabant Et Freres. The stats are 7", 1 3/4" brim, 4 3/4" crown. Scored for $9.95...

I have yet to decide if I'll go without the side pinches on this one.

Edit: I tried to put in the side dents, over here.

The woman I bought this hat from told me her father bought it, wore it once, then put it back in its box. Now I own it.

even the feather looks nice.

and the only problem

lol I think it will look better on my wife. lol Oh well I guess I will have to keep looking for my own vintage that fits.

It does look a little suspect, doesn't it? Might be a candidate for one of my patch jobs - and with no liner that should be a cinch if necessary.

Here's what the crease looks like. A diamond with a dome. (I'm doing it dry, so it's still a work in progress, but you get the idea.)
