R. & M. Wenger "Elasticon", 59cm, possibly later 1920s. This is my first R. & M. Wenger Stiff Felt find after looking for many years. The black Fur Felt is very dense with a fine smooth finish. A jaunty shorter length bow is a stand out. Great looking form and high quality overall workmanship. Also the condition is excellent.

Unfortunately the original cord was removed.

Very nice find, Steve. Older Wegener hats are tough to find, which is a bit odd for what I think was a prolific maker.

I have to second Stefan: Really a cool and very rare find, Steve. I haven't come across a pre war Wegener stiff felt yet - and in this size and condition!

Fléchet homburg. It came in in a bad shape, needed some steam. Felt is in very good condition and the inside of the hat also. This is an example of a good quality Fléchet. The shape is not yet what i want, i have to work on my skills to steam well haha.
