I wanted a super lightweight bowler for those in-between seasons. Mike Miller cut weight by venting and removing the liner. The charcoal and black retains the classic bowler look. The felt has a definite blue tone, a nice change from the solid black. Of course, Mike is still the master of the D'Orsay curl.

What a great hat. Mike can make hats that I’ve not seen from any other hatter. I really like his sweatband stamp too; is that new?

Got this mid 40s Playboy Vita-Felt in today!
Great hat and box!
I’ll have to sew on a bow keep, and since it would be too hard to match this ribbon I’ll just use a felt matched gray keep.
Will add some flare, as well.

Fits perfectly. Other than the keep I won’t have to do a thing!

Glad to see you got this one. It was hanging out there for a long time at a very fair price. I don’t need another homburg, but it was definitely tempting.

Nice to see you back posting Brent. (It's not been too long but seems longer.)

I boxed up most of my straw hats but the weather hasn’t been cooperating for felt.

I don’t ever recall 96 degrees in mid October!
