Héctor, you seem to have a magician's topper that you just keep on pulling wonderful hats out of. That Navy Gannon with blue metal ribbon is fantastic.
The photos in the background are really cool, too.

Sounds like it was meant to be, Michael. Super colour. That is definitely a candidate for St. Patrick's Day.

Thanks Steve. I do rather like the color. I may cast about for alternate ribbons and maybe flatten out the flange a bit. I'll see how bored I get in the next couple of weeks. Ha ha.

I’m 0 for 2 in my latest attempts for hats outside or inside of my size range. My latest attempt, thanks to some MO enablers, one Setter, the other Retriever. I thank them both for their time and especially the effort of the Retriever to secure the hat. Probably the cleanest 3X OR I’ve seen and certainly the nicest one under my roof. The great thing about this one is the felt. Thin and dense with a fine finish. My only other 3X OR is likely a 40’s Model with an oilcloth protected LD liner and the same dimensions as this one. 2 7/8 x 5 1/2.

This hat appears to be a much more recent rendition. Most notably there are no mfg labels underside and the LD liner is spot glued. The surprising thing about this hat is the felt. It is much more dense and thin than one I would have expected from this era. Every bit the equal of my 40’s hat and perhaps better and it does have a better finish. Makes me think of a new hat made with an old blank. Just my thoughts, not a claim. A really soft dress weight OR that can be shaped with a swipe.

The 0 for 2 part is that it doesn’t fit, a bit off. Thought she wanted it but no.

The sweat is getting a bit brittle... so I was unable to dig too deep under the liner and didn’t come across the manufacturing tag.

Overall.. a very nice little light weight wool hat with a really unique coloring and style to it.

Received this Ebay Royal Stetson. The hat is beautiful and in amazing shape. A quick reshaping and this is ready for the road. The dual ribbon is pretty neat and the triple spiral stitching on the bring just adds more cool factor to it.

I believe your Stetson is the Buccaneer mode.

There is no doubt that this type of finish has a particular charm and it is increasingly rare to find specimens in good condition. Steve has the best collection seen so far.

Huckel "Prima" size 5 or 57 cm.
View attachment 208018
In excellent condition and ready to be worn by those who have a head of this size
View attachment 208019
The velour is magnificent, thick and very well preserved, and the hat has an unimaginable lightness.
View attachment 208020
Built in Czechoslovakia and imported into France in Poitiers exactly some time after the Second World War
View attachment 208021
For exact dating Steve will be kind enough to provide it :)
View attachment 208022
These are the measures: the brim are 6.5 cm, the crown 13 and the ribbon is 5 cm high.
View attachment 208023
I know I promised to let hats not of my size be avoided, but beautiful ones are hard to let go of
It is fantastic and these velours are so hard to resist even if they are not your size. I know what that felt must feel like and petting it would be great (must resist though). Great find, Daniele.

I let myself be seduced by a magnificent Borsalino owned by Bowen color M. Agata and when I found a similar one on the Italian market I bought it
View attachment 208027
Borsalino size 5 or 57 cm.
View attachment 208028
The Borsalino has lost its lining over the course of its life and needs to be remodeled mainly because it "keeps the imprint" of the previous shape. Some problems also in the sweatband
View attachment 208029
The color of the felt is "M. Agata" the color of the ribbon "Coffee" and the type "Ecosca"
View attachment 208030
These are the measures: the brim are at 6 cm, the crown at 12 and the ribbon is 3 cm high.
View attachment 208031
Made in Italy and sold in Sardinia, a magnificent island in the Mediterranean, in the 1950s
View attachment 208032
Also for this purchase the love for the hats that I like is worth, I hope it will make some loungers happy
Oooh, that is a very attractive hat, Daniele. Even if it does need a little TLC, it tciks all the boxes.

Cool find, Joe. I like the look of that felt; sometimes the old hatters could do wonders with wool.
