Actually Max, I've still got British citizenship even though I've lived in Denmark for 27 years. I've been busy [emoji4]You will probably be asked for proof of citizenship in Denmark, Steve.

Thanks to Randall @Randall Renshaw for the heads up on this one on ebay. Got it for $12 ! I don’t think it’s ever been worn. It’s a 6-3/4 but couldn’t pass it up. It’s on the stretcher now, so hopefully I’ll post it in WHAYWT in a few days...
Wonderfully soft felt and a pretty cool color combo with the dark gray and chocolate brown ribbon, instead of black. O.P.S. Price tag still attached on the outside of the sweat.
2-3/4” cavanagh edge brim
5-1/2” open crown

This could just as appropriately be placed in the WTF Hats thread. This is the Anchor Man that I posted photos of last week. I’ve never seen another hat like it. For $12.18 including shipping I had to have it.
It’s got some impressive measurements: 6 1/4” open crown and a 3 3/4” deeply flanged brim. It swallowed my straight sided block with almost no resistance; it was originally blocked with very little taper. I’m not sure if the sweatband is leather or an imitation, but from the feel I know it won’t let me peak under it. Size is a generous 7 5/8 and fits me perfectly.
The weave is very open...about SPF 2.
The weave gives it a delicate personality leaning towards feminine, but the dimensions, the 7 5/8 size, and the bow on the left makes me think it’s a man’s hat.

I know I promised to let hats not of my size be avoided, but beautiful ones are hard to let go of
There is no doubt that this type of finish has a particular charm and it is increasingly rare to find specimens in good condition. Steve has the best collection seen so far.

The velour is magnificent, thick and very well preserved, and the hat has an unimaginable lightness.

Built in Czechoslovakia and imported into France in Poitiers exactly some time after the Second World War

I let myself be seduced by a magnificent Borsalino owned by Bowen color M. Agata and when I found a similar one on the Italian market I bought it
View attachment 208027
Borsalino size 5 or 57 cm.
View attachment 208028
The Borsalino has lost its lining over the course of its life and needs to be remodeled mainly because it "keeps the imprint" of the previous shape. Some problems also in the sweatband
View attachment 208029
The color of the felt is "M. Agata" the color of the ribbon "Coffee" and the type "Ecosca"

These are the measures: the brim are at 6 cm, the crown at 12 and the ribbon is 3 cm high.

Made in Italy and sold in Sardinia, a magnificent island in the Mediterranean, in the 1950s

Better, thanks! Drs. finally released me to go back to work on Monday.Hey Doug, haven’t seen you around in a while. How are you doing ?
Thanks, Randy. That keeps me busy, too [emoji4]And don't forget you are one of the high kings of the Homburg Nation, Steve
That's great news, Doug. Don't overdo things, though. Best - SteveBetter, thanks! Drs. finally released me to go back to work on Monday.

I need to stop buying hats! These are the Fed IV heritage fawn, Stetson Temple Panama, Stetsonian and Banjo Paterson.

I love it. It is very well proportioned. I would love to get a vintage hat sometime, but I haven't found one yet.Very nice, how do you like the Banjo Paterson ? I’ve been thinking of one, but keep going back to vintage.
