Eric, your VS Executive inspired my own version of the VS Executive. I thought the Glacier felt (one of only a dozen made by the Master) deserved a pastel companion 1 inch Lavender ribbon and gills bow. The 2 1/2 brim is right in my sweet spot, too. The color is what I would call powder blue or baby blue although in low light it carries a gray cast. Thank you, Art, another exceptional hat!

I was out grilling some lunch in a VS (silverbelly with a gill ribbon treatment). This hat was inspired by several Adam Pacesetter models all in Executive quality. I call it my VS Executive.

Very nice! Did he finally retired? I sent him an email, but never got an answer.

Art usually responds to emails. What I "think" is that he is finishing up the last of his custom orders. Someone mentioned (Brent, @deadlyhandsome) that getting his orders finished may take him past the first of the year but he has passed off his repairs to his apprentice and, as far as I know, has not taken any new orders for several months. All in all, I think his retirement is on track for the not-too-distant future. I'm not sure there is an "exact date" yet, but it will likely be soon. We will all miss him.

So much to like about this hat, Randy. We need to make a family photo of all the glacier hats.

Josef Brunner Wien, Wool, measures 57 cm, seller listed as 1930s but could be later 1920s. There isn't a paper label and I have no production information for Josef Brunner Wien but he is listed in the 1926 Austrian Hat Industry Guide booklet. The liner is especially fantastic. Also great overall form.

I would LOVE to see all the Glaciers posted together. Perhaps we need to start a new thread after more of them get to their owners!

Wow, loving the blue liner on that derby, sir!

Sharing a nice Imperial Stetson that I recently got. This hat is absolutely 10 out 10. The box is without a scratch and all the protective material untouched. The fur felt is as soft as it can be and very workable. The ribbon has a very thin double stitching in the bottom edge, it looks very nice.

I got this hat for almost nothing and I was pleased with the outcome. Sometimes we can still find vintage gems. Unfortunately, I couldn't find much information on it, but.....

Without further do, the Stetson Imperial "Ultimate Finish".
