Dobbs. Brim is a little stingy compared to what I usually wear, but it's growing on me

I can't even express how excited I am about this hat. It's one I've been jonesing for, for many years, and I finally sold enough hats I didn't wear much to finance this commission.
Texas Hatters has some of the sexiest brim curves I've seen, and this arrival today was a perfect welcome in the gloomy heavy rains and street flooding...
Specs:
Silver Belly western weight beaver blend body, raw pencil curl and matching wide ribbon. 52 block. Perfectly stiff.

I was a little nervous when the box looked beat up a little, and found a significant crease in the crown, which fortunately pretty much steamed right out easily.

To me, it's a badass hat, and I couldn't be happier. Excited to share it with you all.

I think your choice of ribbon colors was a great one.

I saw this Goodfellow & Co panama hat among the cheaper wool "fedoras" at Target and despite being only $17, I was surprised by its quality in construction. The one on the rack was too large for me, but thankfully they had my size in the back:

You made an excellent purchase! Hats don't have to be expensive to be awesome. Nice weave and style.

I don't know anything about the hat owner or recognize his name on the sweat. I was referring to the hatter. NCOWS is the National Congress of Old West Shootists. The original hat shop was down in old Council Bluffs & that area has undergone extensive renewal. I can't remember the hatters personal name but he was a mailman by day. He could have moved the shop to Omaha during the CB renewal or sold out.

How he got his start was mading hats for members of NCOWS & SASS. I attended a few NCOWS events including their big convention every Spring. There is a guy who runs the Old West shop at The Fort in Lincoln who could tell you more. Or maybe Scott (Cornshucker77) knows more.
Sorry, don't know. Wish I could help
