As a towny, I have no idea how a pony's nose feels, but just by looking at those photos, I can sure feel how soft that felt feels. Yet another great hat, Dr. Max.

When I opened the box today it was warm and I was immediately immersed in that closed up vintage fur felt smell and I loved it. Is that strange?

I received my latest Black Creek hat yesterday. I really like the black olive color. I played with the crown and the brim today. I added a teardrop bash and worked the brim in the rear to turn upwards.

Hey Max: i think that’s a nice Disney hat. It must be a light weight hat. I don’t recall seeing a non-lined tip protector like that ever. Very cool.

Man, oh, man! I wish I could make one of those sales...or even know about them in advance so I could send the daughter over to look around for me! Do they have those kinds of sales on Fridays or weekends? I've got hat fever bad and need to get in on some of that action!

They have a Facebook page where they post a lot of their sales. I just lucked into it today. I have a lady there that will search the backrooms for the good quality beaver hats and color that i'm looking for. Take care of them and they will take care of you.

Been offline for a few. Decided to get a high fever, it's what I do. Still not leaving the house today, but I finally have the energy post 2 new hats. The first is a Bailey Outen straw, so I won't be wearing it anytime soon, but I got it real cheap so I just had to . And yes that is a square head nail. The other is a Bailey Meren, also on sale. This I can wear but not for a few.

Stetson Gold Medal I got from Justin. Regrettably, the brim binding, ribbon, and sweatband had to be replaced by Ignacio, because they were very stained and torn.
I ordered a golden ribbon on eBay or Etsy, I don't remember which. It was listed as vintage grosgrain, but it turned out to be synthetic. Ignacio says synthetic is hard to handle. I was trying to duplicate the original colors, but it is a little too bright. I might have it replaced with a new gray ribbon that is arriving next Friday, because the golden hue turned out to be just faded gray, as evidenced from the inside of the original ribbon.
