Great hat. A two ounce felt (as it was called in the trade) was offered by all companies at that time, each differentiated by their marketing name and advertising schtick. Featherweights, fiumes, Air-Lites, zephyrs, hankachifs...would be a nice subject for the comparison thread.

Fuzzy hats are the best!
Here a couple of my recent pick ups.

Hard to date this one as it's missing any paper labels behind the sweat, but i'd guess 20's/30's.
The ribbon and brim binding have both seen better days but add a certain charm to the hat.

That hat has made my heart make a little leap. Absolutely gorgeous! Brown longhaired hats are quite rare too in my experience (almost always blacks or greys). Congratulations!

Picked this up at a tag sale last weekend. $1. Too bad there weren't any more. The first picture shows the brown color most accurately. Can anyone tell me what decade this hat is from? And why the original owner might have thought to punch a hole in the sweatband like that.

I was originally going for a new panama for this spring/summer season but I stumbled upon this one made of linen today. I really like it as it is nearly a replica of the custom fur one that @EstherWeis made for me last year, only lighter.

Well this hat was apparently made by a small german company for a hat seller store in Nantes, France called Falbalas. The seller, who obviously was not the manager, could not remember the name.
I chose it because I have been looking for a hat that would resemble a custom one handmade by a FL member. But it's made of a thick fur of very good quality and even though I love it very much I physically can't wear it when it's getting too hot. See, I walk a lot ! probably 8 to 10 miles a day so... when the sun comes out I need something lighter.

This one strangely has the same small crown (about 10/11cm ) and a brim that's neither too short, nor too long (about 5/5.5cm). I had never seen such a hat before ! I thought I was kind of weird! It's made of cotton with a leather ribbon. Inside, the sweatband is made of cotton as well but you can see various patches of leather behind it to better absorb the sweat, is available online and it's not that expensive.
I believe they wanted to have a branded hat that would compete with that Stetson model sold at the exact same price, but which has a different ribbon. I might actually change that leather ribbon for a pleated fabric which I find to be both classy and relaxed.

Just a couple quick photos - I have to wait until my birthday, but managed to inspect it quickly for quality control purposes

Very unique color! Mauve is a good color to describe it. Pink, brown, peach blend.
