This is my new camping hat courtesy of Tim at alleykat hats. Tim pounced the felt and cut the brim very nicely for me and I finished it off with some vintage ribbon and a vented sweatband.
Brim is currently at 3 3/8
It's a stiff western weight that Tim pounced down considerably making it less bulky and more streamlined. Color is Bone and the ribbon is a coppery gold. Omitted liner since it's not needed.

Sorry Fruno. More pics. There is a water stain or something I will have to deal with. The Bundschu store operated from 1879 to 1959. Pretty sure this hat is late 1950s.

You can try this on that stain...you know some hatters have told me about sanding a light colored felt when stained...but sandpaper can be risky as far as I am concerned...so...I used a Mr. Clean Magic Cleaning Eraser...wow, it worked very well. Just use it lightly and take some time. That may work on that stain! I have also just used the distilled water and a very clean white wash clothe. I never get anything "too wet" as it just will spread out the stain on a fur felt. BUT the Naptha Bath I would guess will clean that also.....you could even try to just pour some on that spot while holding the hat up on one side so the stain is on the down side, and lightly pour some on the stain and let it just hang someplace to dry off? As the Naptha is supposed to be the same thing as lighter fluid...well...maybe some good old zippo fluid would do it? BUT no matter how you have success on that hat, is sure is a nice looker!

Not really a new hat, but a refurbishment project executed by Art Fawcett at VS of a long-hair rabbit I purchased about 4 years ago from Paul's Hatworks, when they had a subsidiary office in Louisville. After a long struggle to get this thing looking good, Art finally comes through with a winner.

First, the "before" picture:
