I was trying to go for your Fed bash. But, it just bashed this way, and I liked.

I'll put some steam on it after a week. Think I'll know more how I want it then.

My wife went and picked up the box at USPS after the missed delivery. She asked what it was. I said a new hat. What do you mean a "new" hat? A brand new hat -- I snagged it for $96 shipped when the Australian dollar was low and they had a 25% off coupon. You paid $96 for a hat? I guess we're never getting a new stove...

Who needs a stove when you have a new hat? The finish seems a bit shiny. Maybe it will brush out.

Nice bash. Take yer time workin it. You can always tweak and redo as you go along... Just watch out for sharp creases as you may get a ghost crease that wont come out. Enjoy your new hat!

Yeah, that's why I'm on dry bashing it for now. I jumped the gun with my first CD and put some pretty sharp creases in it. So it was really hard to raise the crown up.

Doesn't most newbies try and get their crowns as low as possible? I know I did. But now, after getting more and more accustomed to a wider brim and taller crown, I'm much more comfortable bashing this one.

Well, the three month wait for my new Akubra Hampton in cruiser gray (which was closer to a 2 1/2 month wait) is finally over. It showed up yesterday. It looks really nice and will be a fine addition to my collection.
