The gray cross country I'll leave open because I'm probably moving that one

These two have immediately entered the top of my list.

Dry bashes ... they just buckle under the softest pinch.... My heart

Here's my "new to me" Winston Fedora, which I bought from Matt "Historyteach24":

It doesn't look much like a fedora any more because Matt re-shaped the crown from what was probably a factory creased Center Dent into a Telescope crease to give the hat a Pork Pie look. I'm glad he did, because if he hadn't I probably wouldn't have given the hat a second thought. Porkers seem to have a limited appeal even here on The Lounge, but I've always liked them so this one not only caught my eye, but grabbed me by the collar, pulled me in close, and whispered "Buy me" in my ear. :D

This is my first previously owned hat, my first hat with a brim under 2-1/2" in width, first hat with a shark gill ribbon, first Pork Pie, and first hat with a tapered crown. In addition to the usual signs of wear, moths have feasted on the brim. The damage isn't too obvious unless you look really close, but it's the reason Matt dropped his asking price so drastically. It's obviously not perfect, but it's far from being a "beater".

And now, the obligatory head shots; brim up on the left, brim down on the right:

I don't think this is a particularly good hat style for me, but I really like the hat so I'm going to enjoy wearing it anyway. And even if I only wear it to casual parties and/or family gatherings, it's sure to annoy all of the right people.

And here's the liner and logo:

If anyone has any information about the manufacturer and/or a guess at the hat's age, I'd be very interested in hearing it.

Looks good on you. Kick it back a little, wear it with attitude and annoy all the right people even more. ;)

Zombie, good snag. Occasionally, one has to step outside their comfort zone. I did that by joining here. That hat looks good on you. Wear it.

They are from Israel. I bought all three that I have straight from the source, so I know that much. They definitely have a "Jewish shop keeper" vibe about them in their original form. Good luck turning the brim down on these bad boys. They are STIFF.

Gosh ... even Moon's $2.00 hats are better than my good ones. This is what I find for $2.00. Even so I couldn't leave it behind. It will be another cleaning experiment. Assuming it is a Resistol or Byer-Rolnick with the Melorol stamp. Lining long gone. It will fit my wife, but may end up a farm hat. Harris Bros. was around from 1896 until the 1990s so that doesn't narrow down the date much.
