I had two hats on my doorstep yesterday. Here is a new western I picked up from a lounger

This Borsalino is also from a lounger via the bay. Here it is right out of the box. I haven't cleaned it or done anyting other than dry bash it. The flet is superb.

A bit on the stingy side with a 2" brim. Crown is ~5.5" when open. Anyone know roughly when this would have been made?

I don't know when it was made, but I would suggest not very far from 1957-65.

Nice. Is there a simple, easy way to sharpen up the lines without creating a hard crease/edge? I want to define mine just a tad more than they are, I think it gives a slightly more dressed up look.
