Stetson 3X. @buler informed me that this is a US National Park Service hat. I really like the hat. The ribbon is a favorite too. The hat is in great condition. The crown is approximately 5 1/2 inches open the raw edge brim is 2 1/2” wide. The brim has a considerable amount of flange. It’s vintage western 3X BQ felt.

I’ll try to post photos in natural light later so to capture the true colors.
Nice one! Sending my job application and resume in to the National Park Service now...

This Beaver Brands called "Classic" and its brother are my big disappointment
BB Marron 7.jpg

Both are size 59, but they are large for my head and even in the presence of cork or felt inside the sweatband they struggle to fit on my head, consequently they have been well preserved for years in a box dedicated to them
BB Marron 2.jpg
Beaver Brands size 59 centimeters or 7 3/8 US about to be sold to Silver Spring MD came to Italy and rested here.
BB Marron 4.jpg
The beaver felt is very thick and finished with a slightly hairy surface, very nice to the touch and finished like its brothers with some approximation.
BB Marron 5.jpg

The shape is rounded in the crown and the brims are flat, a very nice and elegant hat IMO
BB Marron 1 bis.jpg

The color is a very interesting, a deep browm with some hint of subtle green

It is new and comes from the liquidation of the inventories of the glorious Beaver Brands/Langeberg

Royal Stetson 7 1/4

Royal Stetson Stingy Brim Trilby 7 1/4
Milk Chocolate Felt
4 3/4 crown as shaped - about 5 1/2 open
1 5/8 Greenish Antiqued Bronze Grosgrain Ribbon
1 3/4 single stitched overwelt brim

This Royal Stetson stingy from probably late 60s is a bit large for me at 7 1/4. It has a really unique look with is milk chocolate felt and side dents forming a modified cattleman’s crease which seems to work nicely on this short brim trilby. The greenish antiqued bronze grosgrain ribbon is a real standout set off by a small white feather. There are some shallow fairly inconsequential moth nips under them brim and one or two in front. But nothing too significant. Kinda wish this one fit :)

It looks nice, Daniele, even if the quality is lower.

As rare as hens' teeth. A properly sized (for my noggin) Stetson 'Special.' Although a bit 'overly flanged' for me, guess who's going to take this and all his hat collection in his UHaul when his time is up? Damn you, enablers! :D

Dang Doc ... I love everything about that one. Even the flanging (I'd SO wear it up ... for Bob or anyone).

If you can't figure out how to take it with you, feel free to put my name on a piece of tape in it. Absolutely no hurry... :D
