How interesting. Do you know where she was from?

No... My Mom told me when I was a boy. I do remember one of her grandmother's last names was Nelson, and the other's Olson, but that's all. My Mom and all her brothers and sisters died already, and I don't really have contact with my cousins in the US...

That's often the way with families. If only they'd kept a record. Makes you think. Anyway, you've got a "family" in Denmark now bro [emoji4]

Wish it fit me but I’m pretty set up on Resistols! LOL

Haven't gotten deep into Resistol's as this one is my third and seems nicer than the 25 I have. ? I always follow yours and others posts about them and that's the reason I have this hat. Do you, or anyone else know how many different hats Resistol named after TX cities? Do you have a Waco?

Resistol Dalworth 2-3/4"
Resistol Fort Worth 3"
Resistol Herdsman 2-1/2"
Resistol Montana 4"
Resistol Nebraskan 1967 Centennial
Resistol Pecos
Resistol Saddler 2-3/4"
Resistol San Antonio 2-3/4"
Resistol Topeka 3-1/2"
Resistol Waco 2-5/8"

Black Sheep Hat Works, natural felt, 2" hand dyed blue crown ribbon, Pinnacle Edge (fka Cavanagh Edge). Bob is the only hatter I know that does this brim treatment.

Open crown runs 6", brim pushes 2-3/4". Diamond crease with aeration in the crown. More pics on the BSHW thread.

Great color combo on that one and a brilliant ribbon. Great hat!

Super looking hat. Love the wide, blue ribbon. Not a choice often seen on a grey hat. You could definitely start a new trend with that combo. Cudos.

Just got my Stetson 100 yesterday! Even has the suitcase with it! Did a little clean up and re-shaping. Looks pretty good, but feels better. As some of the rest of you that have one of these say, it is one fine hat and feels soft. I was able to shape the crown by hand, no steam! Not sure when it was made, although I gather perhaps mid sixty's. It had the square black size tag, but I broke it off while cleaning. (anyone have a better date guess, would be appreciated)
Still has a few stains, so may take it for professional cleaning.
All in all, I'm pretty tickled with it.
Love it.
