When I ordered my Stetson Frederick in Mink on November 27, I was told it would take 5-6 weeks to have it made and shipped. Two weeks later, it arrived on my doorstep. A couple of notes:

• I ordered the color Mink because I wanted a nice "normal" brown. It's perfect!
• My last two Fredericks were 7-1/4 LO. They were a bit large, so I ordered 7-1/8 LO. It's perfect!
• There are exposed threads apparently where the ribbon was attached. I'll remove them with clippers.

Resistol Western. Found it this afternoon. Looking forward to seeing what I can do with the brim and crown. Felt is in great shape.

Wow! That is a fantastic find. It looks like the diamond shaped O, in Resistol on the liner. Very scarce! Probably mid fifties in my opinion.

I like the look! Enjoy it while you can ... maybe wear it in winter so you're handling it with gloves on. I click on a lot of auctions with wool hats as the style on so many look great. Wish they would just make them with fur felt.

I like the look and this hatmaker does hats with a 5x beaver felt but only if requested. If not requested, then it's wool.
This one could be but it's not.
Gloves... I hate to wear full gloves, all my gloves have the fingers chopped so I can use a keyboard/phone with them on.

Still in business today but a little different than their beginnings in the 40's as an outdoor outfitter with their products sold through their mail order catalog. They catered to fly fishermen as well as other outdoorsmen and I didn't see evidence of a bow on your hat, just the ribbon/band, maybe something appropriate to attach a fly.

Oh that would make sense. The bans is actually a thin leather pug, but is also attached with a very light adhesive glue type stuff.
