I have to say the band work looks very similar. I haven't found any tags in mine except the size tag.

'70s or '80s I suspect. As found,

Sort of an asymmetrical fender thing going on there.

And after a little brim flattening, just by hand, no steaming.

And just for entertainment purposes, this 44 cent suit I picked up today, with hat of course.

Happy Trails,

It was probably jammed into the back of a closet and squished. Nice save! The suit, is ... cute?

Picked up these three at an antique store today.

The back bow Mallory porkpie has very nice felt. The size is stamped under the band. Looks like 7-1/12?!? Fits like a 7-1/4 or a tight 7-3/8. Cost me $26.00:

This '60s stingy Champ is a bit tight and needs some shaping but should be a nice knockabout... for $8.00!:

And finally this gray Bonds stingy. $21.00. Needs a good long bath. Never heard of Bonds. 1960s???:

Sweet finds! That back bow is a keeper for sure. It might be able to take a diamond crease, seems like not much crown though.

Thanks. Yes, great lid and the felt is really really nice. Your right though, crown is very short. I'll try a shallow diamond but no matter what it'll have to sit higher on my noggin than I'm used to wearing my hats.

That Stetson stampede is a nice find. Looks like acorn in the photo. I believe it is early seventies.
A lot of potential there.

Michael A inspired me to hit the thrift stores today. Found this Stratoliner marked down, so I couldn't resist. It doesn't even fit me but I couldn't pass it up.
I may clean it up, steam it, and give it to my brother in law. It has a couple moth holes and the sweat is not great, but for $15 I probably did ok.

Hi Guys, this is one of two hats i recently acquired, seller reckoned it to be a Stetson, but i think not. It was a bit of a reck but only cost me £15, after a bit of a steam and some reshaping it does't look to bad. He also thought it was 1930s, any thoughts on this? .... the hat itself is very light indeed and the felt is very pliable (summer hat i think), the crown is 5" with a 2 1/2" brim.
The only clue to maker is the inventory label, after a little research i found an identical one in the Lounge which belongs to an independent maker "Biskup Hats",
so i assume they were the maker of this Hat?.... any thoughts?..... here's the hat.

Heres the Biskup Hat. as you can see, Inventory label is identical

Hi Here's the other hat i mentioned in my earlier post, seller said its 1920s?.... its positively 1930s, and judging by the union label pre 1934.it was in a bit of a sorry state when i opened the box, but after some TLC it has recovered some of its former glory i think. The crown is 5" tall at the sides, and the brim is 2 1/8" wide.
Unfortunately the liner has perished so i have no idea of the manufacturer, but the sweatband is stamped "D.H. Martin PA. clothiers" which must be the retailer. One of the other labels inside the hat is mark W.H.W. I've seen this before on other hats in "The Lounge" does anyone no what the initials stand for, would be very helpful.

This label is from another hat, with the initials W.H.W. New York.
