In a Felt I would never wear this style... but there is something about it in a straw that I feel.

My "whipped" Whippet arrived. At least I can say I owned one...

I'm guessing this is '50s, but I'll let others who know better correct me if necessary.

Looks like it might have been from Harry Coffee's clothing store in Fresno or Bakersfield, CA.

Not my size so I'll probably put it up on the 'Bay at some point for someone who needs a project.

A fly fisherman might take the feathers off your hands for tying flies.

Nice tall crown on that Derby. Looks to be in excellent shape for being a thrift store find. You sure come up with the gold in your digging!

Ok, Ok, here are a few straws I got lately in preparation for the season.....
A sort of pork pie boater by Adam.....a real lite straw fedora style also by Adam....(has tags but crown label is gone).....and a new Stetson Stratoliner in Natural hemp.

Yes....you have been picking up some real nice straws lately........that Knox of yours is a WOW!!
I have always had a couple of vintage boaters I wear......can't take the summer heat in the felts.....
BUT I am stepping out of my comfort zone with these new lids......differant styles for me....however the Adam porkpie boater will help me out in the transition of style!!

PS as all can see I am pretty traditional in my choice of colors.....I am kooking at getting a hemp Strat in sage though.......

Thanks Red. These two were vintage store finds, not thrift. Generally the vintage store hats are in better condition, though not always.
