Wegener "Seal", size 57cm, 5 1/2 inch crown open, 2 5/8 inch brim, probably mid to later 1950s. Great Seal felt finish / color and very high quality components / construction. Also has crown side ventilation with breathable liner.

Last week I got a new Afrika Korps Pith Helmet! ! Good thing I love in a politically incorrect country where no one cares if you wear it.

Anyway I might replace the German Imperial Eagle with a regular 3 colors badge.

Also got a real issue Slouch hat woth the 8 fold puggaree on it. Cleaned, fixed the brim and had to recrease it.

Not bad at all.

Fitted it with an original Royal Scots Greys hat badge and a Australian Commonwealth Military Forces on the side...a head turner hat. Love the results.

Now I can turn my civilian Akubra Slouch into a Safari hat

Rehfus & Cie. "Olympia Extra Qualität", Point 5 1/2, Crown 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/2 inches, probably early to mid 1950s. The felt is of a heavier weight but pliable plus a great shade of blue with a very nice finish. High quality components and construction. I really like the form and color contrast.

Nice one Vic! I'm guessing with the Royal Stetson imprint inside the hat that this hat was designed to have no liner? I know nothing about the history of Stetson and their liners. Just has me curious.

Vic and Steve find such great hats, in some cases masterpieces
But i will bore you with the trivial to you but a great find to me
Courtesy of Rick Blaine who gave me a heads up on this 7-1/2 Dobbs silverbelly OR type Pristine!

Not vintage has plastic in the liner, but union label under the sweat
