Good look, rami. So it ain't a name brand, so what? If nothing else, it will give you an idea of styles that look good on you if you go looking for a "better" straw.

But don't give up on the felts for the summer. Personally, I've found I keep going back to them, even if it's warm. Hey, cowboys don't take theirs off in the hot sun, why should I?:p

Thank you, you are all gentlemen and scholars. I'll keep posting as my Fedora journey continues. I'm borrowing my brothers years of knowledge and research (victories and failures) to build my collection.
Thanks, FL.

VERY nice entrée, Cariduro24! We'll be looking for your posts in the "Nicest comment I ever heard" thread. Super center dent... will you leave it that way?

My latest from Advintage. It's a 100% beaver felt from Fepsa.

This is by far the best modern felt I've ever handled. It has a velvety smooth hand and is incredibly dense, but being thinner than Winchester dress felts is actually lighter.

The colour is incredibly hard to photograph. Its a medium grey with earthy undertones. Thomas calls it smoke and that describes it well.

Though the temperature is in the 30's here (almost 90 degrees F) I can't force myself to change it for a straw. It's such a beautiful hat!

Head shot (excuse my poor 'selfie' abilities and the distortion caused extreme close up)
