Thank you all.
One of my best finds but it's not vintage, it's a modern Stetson Tom Mix. 5" brim (4.5" with the pencil roll) and almost 8" crown. It sure turn heads and I think more than the black Tom Mix I have.
Must take some pictures tomorrow.
This is a bunch of Italians hats I found in the last weeks.
They need some little works to be introduced on this stage. So I've done my best to cure them.
This is an heritage I came across and I was tempted by a Borsalino of my size (US 7 1/2). Unfortunately all the others are too small (US 7 or 4 1/2 EU). Here there are the "lost temptations" too small for my pumpkin
Barbisio Titan in light brown. This is a sixty-seventies production sold in Sicily
Borsalino in light grey. It is a very elegant hat from the same period of the Barbisio and the same Italian region.
Borsalino in green. The colour is fantastic, a deep brilliant green. Same period and region.
Unfortunately for me, these hats will go on the shelf of beautiful and impossible.
Soon some other discovery of hats in my size
Mayser Velour, size 56cm, probably 1930s. It's a fantastic golden color hand brushed wet Velour. One of the finest I have encountered. It came from a non Ebay seller in the Czech Republic.
HOW do you find them, Steve?! Holy Toledo, and every other phrase of astonishment, in English and Deutsche! We don't see too many finds like this one anymore...
