brim binding has the spots as well & compared stitching & ribbon size & tacking placements to my other Strats seems consistent.

Brim measures at 2 3/4''

cool touch & ribbon/binding match either way

Royal Stetson Tijuana Sov

I picked up this cream Royal Stetson not too long ago but just haven't gotten around to posting it. It is an interesting hat and I'm not really sure what you call this particular felt finish. It isn't really a long hair but it has kind of a fuzzy textured finish that almost feels like cardboard. It has a 2 1/4" brim with a raw edge and three rows of stitching and a 5 1/2" open crown which is wrapped in a 3/4" matching felt ribbon. The hat is unlined with the stetson logo on the crown tip. The only marking I could find is the number on the back of the sweatband. The original box says "Cream Sov Tijuana". I assume "Sov" is for Sovereign! but this doesn't look like a Sovereign or say it on the hat. Maybe those Stetson enthusiasts out there can weigh in on when this hat was likely made and the type of felt finish.

Stetson Sovereign Twenty

I just got this Sovereign which is my second one. It's in great shape just a little soiling on the liner. The individual I bought it from thought is was from the 60s but I believe it is from the early 40s! I has a 2 3/4" mode edge brim, 5 1/8" crown as shown which is wrapped in a 1 3/4" grosgrain ribbon. The dark brown leather sweatband is unreeded. If anyone can help age date this I would appreciate it.
