Just received this today, a Royal Penn. My first stingy with the brim coming in at about 1 3/4". Also my first hat with a cord.

Thanks!
It may be a little hard to tell in the pictures, but it's a really dark olive color. I was originally searching for brown, but I think I like the looks of this one. Does anyone know about when it was made? It was advertised on Etsy as a 1950's, but I thought I read somewhere that the black sweat band was more of a 60's thing.

I was really wanting a black one but this one was just waiting there. You know what I mean! The nicest black one I have seen a few months ago I had sent to my grandson. Hope to see yours soon.

I already know this one will be a bit too big for me, so i'll more than likely put it on the classifieds. But I couldnt pass up a chance to see the difference in felt quality between the Vitafelt and the Knox in Black Cherry I have.

It's a 7 1/8. After trying on the Knox Homburg it became pretty readily apparent that while i'm a 7 1/8 for a Bowler, in a soft felt hat i'm an even 7.

I'll give it a shot, but the Knox already ends up resting a bit more on my ears than i'd like at times. But I put up with it cause I love that hat, even though it being too big has already stopped me from wearing it as much as i'd want

I don't know why, but the "royal" in the liner looks really splotchy compared the the pictures ive seen from dudeinblack.

Ofcoursemyhorse: Love the shape of the Royal Stetson. I wouldn't have thought of big side dents that go that far back on the crown in a homburg like that, but it looks cool.

My new Akubra Capricorn. It looks and feels like a new Milan which is probably a poly straw hat also. Very worth what I paid.
Australiangear.com has the cheapest I could find. I'll post some head pics soon.

I rather like that Akubra John. I have to check the colours they make them in.

For a while I've been thinking that one of those little Rum Diary style milans would be a nice change of pace for the warmer weather.

Fashion Frank would be proud of me since I sniped this one for $13 shipped.

Not seen Frank for a while - hope he's OK.
